Bill Warren is in his 41st year as attorney. His law practice focuses on a variety of issues and cases, the majority of which address the concerns of those active in the multi-family industry. He founded and manages Warren Law Firm. In addition, he serves as Legal Counsel of the Austin Apartment Association, a position he has held for over 25 years. He also served as the initial Of Counsel for the Texas Apartment Association (TAA) for over four years, 2016 through 2020.
Bill is also a mediator. When acting in this capacity, he becomes a neutral third-party, overseeing and coordinating a dynamic, structured, and interactive process. The goal of the mediations conducted by Bill is to enable the participants to voluntarily arrive at an optimal solution to their conflicts. This goal is achieved using specialized communication and negotiation techniques.
Writing and teaching enhance Bill’s enjoyment of the practice of law. He is a well accomplished writer, author of The Warren Report: Law In Order, and has had over 150 articles published. His topics cover all nature of issues pertaining to rental housing, from onsite to the boardroom to the courtroom. He is also a sought-after lecturer, frequently teaching seminars throughout Texas and beyond. His humorous and enthusiastic teaching style conveys essential information about leasing, management, fair housing, trial practices, the TAA Redbook, and a variety of legal and other issues affecting management and leasing personnel, property owners, products and services providers, and tenants.
Bill is now in his 34th year as a board-certified attorney, and is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is also a Fellow of the Texas State Bar College.
